This is Gus who was commissioned by Chrissie for her Mum's birthday .. Chrissie told me 'Thank you Val for your wonderful gift of giving us Gus back. Sadly missed by all, this is Miska King of Swing, Gus, shown until he was 3, went to Crufts, then became my mums constant companion. Obviously sent here to do a job, Gus looked after Mum for another 11 years before he peacefully fell asleep, in front of the TV after a beef stew lunch. This portrait holds all of his merits, his kind nature, he knowing ways, all so cleverly captured here by Val. When Mum and I first saw this portrait, it just took our breath away, and we took him home with smiles on our faces.
