Gizmo was commissioned by Ria, Madi and their Mum Em, for Gay's (Em's Mother) birthday. Em told me 'Gizmo is sadly no longer with us, he was a very special cat. When we lost my Dad 10 years ago, we were all bereft obviously (very close family - me and the girls lived with them after my divorce) and my Mum had always wanted a cat (Dad was more of a dog guy) so I bought her Gizmo but it was a sob story. I was told before we saw him that he was a she and only a few months old! It turned out this was not the case not only was he a he but he was almost 1. He was seriously underweight and had suffered from meningitis just after birth leaving him deaf and almost blind. The owner was simply desperate to sell or he might have been put down. He also had curvature of the spine so didn't walk well and we spent a lot of time with the vet. They weren't sure how long he'd live so mum bought the twins to keep him company (Peppa and Tigger), I reckon they helped him so much because we didn't lose him till Christmas last year so he was almost 10. Not bad, considering. He was such a treasure though and on top of everything, he was diagnosed Autistic a couple of years back too. He was so loved and meant so much to mum, who nowadays just lives for her cats and family'
